Dead Kittens
DEAD KITTENS: Dirk is a Dutch comic artist, KD is an Israeli multi-instrumentalist and producer. The two have been friends for a few years and finally started making music together in 2015.
The songs on Pet Obituaries were created during the recording process, one layer after the other, without Dirk and KD ever playing the songs together before - let alone knowing how they would sound in the end.
In September 2016 Dead? Kittens? Was on stage for the first time, Dirk as singer and bassist and KD on drums and electronics. The two of them make more noise than a five-piece band!
Dirk sings about modern life, human existence, or other indiscriminate subjects that flow out of his tortured brain.
Their sound goes further than 0815 punk: Due to the “This could sound cool at this point” production method, you can make out the most diverse experimental elements in the songs, such as flutes, trombones, female choirs, pianos, electronic elements and much more .
Dead Kittens will kick your physical AND mental asses at the same time.
