Three million

The young quartet from Frankfurt am Main makes alternative and indie rock with German lyrics, which does not want to deny itself to pop, but all the more to the embarrassments and softened clichés that radio brings into our lives every day.

The making of THREE MILLION can be described as a development and finding process in which the band, beyond the release of the 2015 EP "Aus Gold", first had to find their line-up and their sound. The search for something more serious and substantial than what was known from previous projects not only took time, but also left one or the other fellow campaigner behind. Finally found

THREE MILLION her permanent line-up only with the recordings for "From Glass and Wine". Today singer and guitarist Yanni and his twin brother Chrissi (vocals and bass) are reinforced by Jonas (guitar) and Lucas (drums), who are also active in the good friends of the post-hardcore band RISING ANGER. If the line-up was originally intended as a temporary solution, the guys noticed that something suddenly fitted here that had previously been missing. An impression that Jonas is happy to confirm: "We suddenly had the feeling that we had finally arrived after the many changes."

Together with producer Olman Viper, DREIMILLIONEN recorded an album in 2017 that, according to Jonas, not only sounds "more mature, more sophisticated, more versatile", but also finally expresses what the band had been looking for for so long and what has become so rare in the German music scene is - great melodies and awkward lyrics packed into modern indie rock songs that will work both in the club and on the festival stages.

“From Glass and Wine” is about well-known topics, but Yanni packs them authentically and passionately: “Love, friendship and celebration - the different facets of it are presented in different garments. Some things are addressed directly, some are better described in pictures. ”At THREE MILLION nothing is calculated or enforced, the band waited too long to finally say what they wanted.
Jonas sums up DREIMLLIONEN's debut once again: “In my opinion, the album 'From Glass and Wine' describes the development phase of each of us. We used to be an indomitable party troupe that was partying somewhere every weekend and after every show. In the meantime we have found ourselves and we know what we want to do with our lives. ”Whether with songs like“ From Glass and Wine ”and“ Medals ”,
who bring the band's sound perfectly to the point, a post-hardcore hit like “High” or the “Sternedinner” pleasantly scraped past kitsch, THREE MILLIONS have found each other and thus a perspective for their music that gives German-language music back much-needed facets .
